Salem Khazali seems like your average University student. Studying Graphic Design, he balances studies with a budding social life as well as a range of different activities. This isn’t all, though – he also goes by Khazali, his stage name. In between all of the usual University life, he is a full time working musician. Starting off by posting songs on Soundcloud – he has gathered a nice online following, attracting the likes of the NME and the East London-based band Vuurwerk. Khazali’s music is constantly evolving – allowing for a wave of consistently exciting multi-coloured tunes to flow out of his social media pages.
I had a sit down with Khazali to discuss life as a student/budding musician on the come up.
