Deontay Wilder has blamed the outfit for his defeat following his first career loss to Tyson Fury. The American heavyweight said:

“I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight,” he reflected. “In the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through … I knew I didn’t have the legs because of my uniform.”

Wilder has initiated his rematch clause, much to the disappointment of boxing fans who were eager to see Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua for the title of undisputed.

Regardless of the outfit, was this really the reason Wilder was TKO’d? Or was he out boxed by a far superior boxer?

The WBC number one contender Dillian Whyte has voiced his opinion on the situation saying:

“He just talks c**p. It’s the same weight as a backpack. I think in the army, the backpack they carry is 60 or 70 kilos or something and those guys march in a backpack for days and they are half the size of him.

Whyte who has been calling Wilder’s name now for over a year believes he would have caused Deontay the same problems. Despite the loss, Whyte is still eager to fight Wilder to propel himself as one of the top three fighters in the division.

In the event of this happening, the winner will look to take on the winner of the undisputed crown. It certainly is an exciting time in heavyweight boxing with only one man with an undefeated record in Fury. Could Anthony Joshua deliver this blow? Will Deontay Wilder revenge his loss?  Whatever the case, look forward to a spectacular summer of heavyweight boxing.
