Well known singer-songwriter Duffy has stated in an Instagram post on Tuesday that she was “raped and drugged and held captive over some days”
Duffys post on Instagram sends out a heartfelt message to her fans explaining her absence and what has happened to her.

In her post she has said she would like to answer any questions in a spoken interview that she will be doing in a few weeks.
“In the following weeks I will be posting a spoken interview. If you have any questions I would like to answer them, in the spoken interview, if I can.”
Duffy is a Welsh artist who released her debut album, Rockferry, in 2008. Rockferry later on went to become the best-selling album in the UK that year.
In 2008 her single ‘Mercy’ went to number one in 12 countries.
In her post on Instagram she has asked for privacy and care towards her and her family.
“Please respect this is a gentle move for me to make, for myself, and I do not want any intrusion to my family. Please support me to make this a positive experience.”
She also goes on to say a thank you to all her fans.
