The school of Prince George and Princess Charlotte has been affected by coronavirus.

Four pupils from Thomas’s Battersea are self-isolating following a school ski trip.

The pupils, who attended the trip in Northern Italy, were tested for Coronavirus and have been sent home from school while they await the results.

Currently, there is no implication that either Prince George or Princess Charlotte has been infected.

A spokesperson for the school told Sky news: “We currently have a very small number of pupils who have been tested and these individuals are currently, as per government advice, remaining at home pending the receipt of their test results.”

The school has been following Government advice on how to handle a suspected case of coronavirus.

UK Chief Medical officers are advising anyone who has travelled to the UK from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau in the last 14 days and is experiencing cough or fever or shortness of breath, to stay indoors and call NHS 111, even if symptoms are mild.

 

They are also telling people, who have travelled to the following areas, to stay at home:

· Iran

· Northern Italy

· South Korea

· Hubei province

· Vietnam

· Cambodia

· Laos

· Myanmar
