Following a two-car crash in Mawnan Smith at 0710hrs on Wednesday, a man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim who was driving a grey Ford Fiesta has been described as a local man, according to Devon and Cornwall Police. His next of kin has been informed.
A black Saab estate car was also involved. The driver was not injured.
Police officers have appeared for any witnesses to come forward.
