An o2 blackout has left over 30 million customers without access to 3G or 4G connections, with many more taking to Twitter claiming that calls and texts are also affected.

The network had issued an apology, claiming it was due to an issue in a 3rd party supplier’s system. o2 and mobile network equipment supplier Ericsson have since issued a joint apology and normal service has resumed.

Following thousands of complaints on Twitter, the network have announced that their customers will receive “a credit for two days of your monthly airtime subscription charges.”
