Following a series of match cancellations over the last few years, the Cornwall FA held a Groundman’s Awareness Evening at Bodmin Town Football Club in order to provide groundsmen at clubs up and down the county with guidance, support and advice.
The event featured product demonstrations and presentations from pitch maintenance partners based around pitch drainage, lighting, choice of turf and line marking including Phoenix Sporting Goods, Vincent Tractors and Taylor Rigby.
The Cornwall FA will also provide subsidies for clubs wishing to purchase maintenance products and machinery through a joint venture with The FA Facilities and Investment Team and Institute of Groundmanship.
