It has been announced that plans for the new Penvose student village in Treluswell have been supported by Falmouth Town Council. The development would see housing provided for up to 2,000 students. Although the final decision rests with Cornwall Council, the town authority has confirmed it is now happy for the scheme to go ahead, complete with a hospital, shops, restaurant and park and ride to serve the residents. Truthfal’s William Gavin spoke to residents and students to get their opinions on how the local community and university could be affected.
