On Saturday, a demonstration took place on the Moor, Falmouth, to protest the budget cuts and perceived privatisation of the NHS.

At least 60 people joined the demo, where protesters took it in turns to chant and give speeches of how the health service has benefited them and why more people should be concerned for its future.

The demonstration was organised by ‘Youth Action Falmouth’, a recently-founded group by members and supporters of the Labour Party. Youth Action Falmouth’s main aim is to engage with the community through organised local causes, such as voluntary work, protests and fundraising.
