Truthfal’s Elishia Davies brings us to Kimberly Park to have a look into Source FM’s Parklive Festival.

Every Summer, Kimberly Park plays host to Parklive Festival; a free, family-friendly event where artists head to perform music and poetry. Located in the beautiful Kimberly Park, just five minutes away from the Moor in Falmouth, the festival is easily accessible and, as an alcohol-free zone, is a safe and welcoming event.

The acts are varied and unique, bringing attention to the local talent Falmouth holds and giving you the chance to discover new music. Don’t like what is currently on the main stage? There is also a smaller tent used, where just as talented acts perform for a smaller audience. There is definitely no end to the entertainment available here.

Don’t worry about getting hungry, as there are plenty of food trucks located to the right of the stage, ranging from falafels to burgers to curry, you’re truly spoilt for choice here. There’s even a large play area also located in Kimberly Park, where kids can enjoy themselves while parents relax.

A completely volunteer-based event, Parklive is run by Source FM who work hard to give residents and visitors a day of fun, laughter and enjoyment. If you feel like supporting the festival e you can enter into a raffle for a chance to win from a diverse assortment of prizes or just donate using the donation buckets located at the tent, to the left of the main stage.

The event runs every weekend from the 1st April to the 30th September so there is no excuse to give it a miss. Still not sold? Take a glimpse of the event below to find out more about the festival and to see what local residents and visitors think.
