Applications to university are down by 11,000 in comparison to last year according to figures from UCAS. Truthfal spoke to  prospective students: Tejay Callow, Gabriela Jimenez, Caroline Martin at a university open day to find out why they are still applying despite the worries of debt.

Many young people are now choosing apprenticeships and other vocational options instead of university. What is it that still draws people into applying to university?
