As Storm Emma collided with the ‘Beast from the East’ and sent the country into closure, Falmouth University closed for three days whilst the county was flipping between amber and red weather warnings. Many shops in the town remained shut and people were advised by authorities not to leave their houses unless essential.

But residents from Falmouth decided to make the most of the rare snowfall and turn the seaside town into a 48-hour ski resort.
