The Wild Documentary Society held a cinema event on Gylly Beach to support Earth Hour.

The event was organised by Hannah Pollock, an Exeter University student who wanted to encourage people to take an hour out of their day where they weren’t using electricity.

The cinema was powered by bicycles, which people could ride throughout the night to help contribute to the event.

Hannah explained, “Earth hour is a global event encouraging people to think about the environment and the effects we have on it.”

The society has plans to do more events like this throughout the year and hope to encourage people to look at how they treat the environment more carefully.
